Marketing Specialist
As part of the Corporate Integrated Marketing and Global Brand team at Thermo Fisher Scientific since 2022, I have played a key role in supporting and executing brand strategy initiatives aimed at elevating brand awareness, perception, and loyalty. My work focuses on ensuring consistency across all brand touchpoints and providing brand-compliant materials and strategic support to internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
In close collaboration with my colleagues, I contribute to highly targeted brand and marketing activations that support Thermo Fisher’s purpose—making a meaningful impact on human lives. Whether it's assisting with thought leadership initiatives, facilitating brand training, or ensuring alignment across departments, I strive to ensure that all stakeholders—from customers and investors to communities and colleagues—understand and resonate with who we are and how we make a difference.
My role & responsibilities
Own brand governance and serve as the main point of communication for all brand-related inquiries for over 100,000 colleagues, as well as external partners.
Review all marketing materials (more than 2K+ monthly submissions) for brand alignment, provide feedback on necessary edits, and manage internal brand communications to enhance awareness of brand strategy and guidelines.
Collaborate regularly with internal teams such as Legal, Trademarks, PR, Talent Acquisition, and Corporate Communications, while also working closely with external partners, vendors, and agencies to facilitate brand training, produce brand-compliant campaigns, and provide ongoing brand strategy support.
Drive strategic initiatives aimed at aligning creatives and business partners across the organization to ensure a unified brand vision.
Manage a brand ambassador program I developed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing around brand identity, industry news, and trends. This initiative connects teams across departments, ensuring alignment on current developments and best practices.
Develop and support campaign initiatives that elevate brand awareness, perception, and loyalty, while delivering meaningful results aligned with business objectives.
Provide project management support for strategic brand initiatives and partnerships, ensuring timely execution and effective cross-functional collaboration.
Evolve processes, templates, guidelines, and resources to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. This includes managing our Frontify DAM, iConnect page, Adobe Workfront Proof, Adobe Express, and internal AI tools to optimize asset creation and approval processes.
Conduct research and gather market insights to ensure brand strategy is informed by industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, allowing for continuous improvement and relevance in the market.

I've made significant contributions to Thermo Fisher by:
Transformed brand management by creating more efficient processes, ensuring consistent brand representation, and supporting global teams in aligning with brand guidelines across various platforms and materials.
Created a brand ambassador program that connects over 200 designers, copywriters, content creators, photographers, videographers, and other creative professionals to collaborate on brand, visual identity, industry trends, and news, fostering alignment and knowledge-sharing across departments.
Developed and launched eight new on-demand brand training modules, and conducted 25+ live training sessions for internal teams and suppliers to ensure comprehensive understanding and alignment with brand guidelines, strengthening brand consistency across the organization.
Conducted extensive research into brand architecture across Fortune 500 companies, uncovering valuable insights and identifying best practices to inform potential improvements in Thermo Fisher’s own brand strategy.
Performed biotech market research, identifying key trends within the Cambridge Biotech market and providing actionable insights to the commercial team to support strategic decision-making and market positioning.
Developed a comprehensive campaign strategy and materials for the Innovation Campaign, enhancing the initiative’s reach and impact by celebrating diverse innovations across Thermo Fisher, and creating a compelling narrative that resonated with employees and stakeholders.
Spearheaded the creation of a Global Brand Repository, designed to serve as a robust resource for colleagues seeking answers to brand-related inquiries. The tool is now live and undergoing testing to ensure optimal functionality and accessibility.
Developed efficient brand templates and integrated them into Adobe Express, improving colleague productivity by providing easy access to on-brand templates within the tool, ensuring improved brand compliance and a streamlined creative process.
Project highlight:
Goeddel Family Technology Sandbox, a key initiative in a multimillion-dollar, 10-year partnership with UC San Diego
Project-managed the launch of the Thermo Fisher-sponsored labs in the UCSD Technology Sandbox. I collaborated closely with business partners, UC San Diego, and managers to brainstorm and create graphics for all three main spaces. In addition to supporting creative direction, I facilitated input from the teams, leadership, and business partners to ensure alignment with our strategic vision. I developed a detailed project plan and timeline, managing the design development and approval process for these graphics. I also took charge of scheduling and coordinating the installation of the graphics and production of event materials for the Sandbox’s grand opening and symposium, all while navigating a tight timeline and pressing deadlines.
